La Plata the Garden City


La Plata is the capital of the province of Buenos Aires and is called the Garden City for its beautiful squares and parks and afforestation of their streets.

The city was designed by engineer Pierre Benoit and has a reticular chart. It is characterized by the diagonals connecting the most important places in the city. Located 63 km from the city of Buenos Aires, La Plata becomes an interesting destination to know.

There are many places and walks to know in La Plata, among them we can mention the Basilica del Sagrado Corazón de Jesus, a basilica of Romantic-Byzantine style. You can also visit the Casa Curuchet, the only building in Argentina designed by the renowned Swiss architect Le Corbusier. This house is distinguished by a rationalist architecture that follows the guidelines of the modern movement.
Among other rides that you can find the Hippodrome, La Catedral de La Plata, the Garden Zoo and many museums. At this point we can highlight the large number of museums that exist in La Plata and all of different themes, we can highlight Almafuerte Museum, The Museum of Art Fra Angelico, the Museum of Natural Sciences, Spegazzini Botanical Museum, the Museum Indian Yana Kuntur and the Museum of Bellas Artes.
Finally we mentinon the Paseo del Bosque, a nice place where you can stroll and visit the Astronomical Observatory which is located within it.

Tandil, panoramics from the hills


This beautiful town is located in the province of Buenos Aires, at a distance of 351km from the city of Buenos Aires. It is one of the most visited tourist centers of the province of Buenos Aires, the city is built on a vast plain surrounded by countless hills.

During the day Tandil seduces the tourist with their landscapes, parks, plazas and small flowered hills that crop up in its urban and offer a magnificent panoramic view. You also have a very interesting night life with restaurants, cinemas, discos and casino.

There are many places to visit, some of them are the Cerro Libertad,Cerro de la Virgen, Cerro del Calvario, and the Cerro Centinela, all places where you can see beautiful panoramic of the area.

It is also the Dique del Fuerte(Dam of the Fort), a dam of 450m long by 35 wide reservoir waters of the creeks in the area and forms a beautiful artificial lake where you can practice water sports.

For fans of golf this Golf Club, a beautiful 18-hole golf course surrounded by a beautiful mountain landscape.

For those who like history, the "Museo Historico y Tradicionalista Fuerte Independencia"(Historical and Traditionalist Museum ) tells the story of the area and the ancient inhabitants. The park located on the Cerro Independencia, has an amphitheater where various cultural activities are performed. Finally we found the "Sierra del Tigre" nature reserve, a place that was created to preserve the natural environment of the area, with caves, trips, watery natural, and remnants of stone houses that enhance its charm.

Sierra de la Ventana, hills and mountains



Sierra de la Ventana is located at 557km from Buenos Aires. This beautiful mountain city center, presents a pleasing appearance building, with modern-style houses and some houses fifths, within a framework of hills and streams that alternate with lush vegetation and rugged trails that are placed in the hills.


Within the walks and excursions can be made at Sierra de la Ventana, there are the "Cerro Ceferino", the "Cerro de la Cruz", and the "Cerro Tres Picos", all places where you can see beautiful views of the area.


Also we have the "Fuente del Bautismo" (baptism font), a beautiful drop of water on a source that according to the tradition the Aborigines who inhabited the place washed to newborn children.


At 26 km from Sierra de la Ventana we find Ernesto Tornquist Provincial Park, where you can enjoy many activities countryside, watching the wild horses in the area, visit the "Vivero", which is responsible for the afforestation of the park and fields in the area .

San Rafael, Mendoza


San Rafael is the second largest city in Mendoza, is located in the vicinity of the rivers "Atuel" and "Diamante".
In San Rafael were established the Swiss, Italian and French colonies. It has a huge commercial and industrial movement. In the city you can visit the "Hipolito Irigoyen" Park, where splendid vegetation, an amphitheater and the sports field of the city are found.
One of the places to see is the "Mariano Moreno" park, which is located on the "Diamante" island, which has a picturesque artificial lake and a cave, where also lies the municipal Museum of Natural Sciences.






37 km from the city placed us in the Atuel Canyon and in the place called Valle Grande. A place where we can enjoy beautiful lakes, and wonderful views of the mountains.

Talampaya National Park, La Rioja



The Talampaya National Park has the appeal of its cliffs and fantastic variety of shapes caused by erosion. In the Park you can find many notable tacit and petroglyphs.


It´s canyon of 3 km you can find all kinds of formations of up to 50 m high, and cliffs arriving at 150mt. Talampaya is an impressive monument.


Can be reached by car by the national route 76, from where part of a road 14 km to reach the park. It is located 277 km from the city of La Rioja, and its nearest town is "Villa La Union", a village located in a mountainous area and around which you can see orchards and vineyards.







Protecting native species, the park preserves and is the habitat of many animals such as guanaco, the hare mara, cuises, vizcachas, foxes, ferrets, squirrels of the Sierras, and the Pichi-Llorón and Pichi-Ciego who are in danger of extinction; to be an unforgettable spectacle of witnessing the flight of the Andean Condor on Cañadón Talampaya.

Trelew a city with Welsh history


The city of Trelew was founded in 1884, its name means town of Luis in Welsh. Name that was given in honor of its founder Lewis Jones, creator of the first patagonic newspaper, and planner and builder of the railway from Trelew to Puerto Madryn.

Trelew is located on the left bank of the Chubut River and has a modern tourist infrastructure. One of the sites to visit is the old railway station, that now is the current headquarters of the regional Museum "Pueblo de Luis" and home of culture, where you can see the history of the city at different times since its founding.

There is also the Paleontological Museum "Egidio Feruglio, Lewis Jones and Fontana", showcasing fauna and flora fossils of more than 300 million years. Trelew was founded by Welsh settlers and so is celebrated each year on Eistedvod, a celebration of Welsh origin. Very near Trelew towns and cities also exist that have their origins in Welsh colonists, as Rawson, Trevelin and Gaiman.

Buenos Aires Railway stations



Buenos Aires has a very large history in railways, most of the Argentine railways where made by English companies at the begining of the past century.



One of the things that remain of that legacy are the Railway stations, magnificent architertural buildings that gives Buenos Aires an European look.



In Buenos Aires you have 4 main stations Retiro, Constitución, Once and Lacroze. The first two are the most important, Retiro is the terminal for the trains going North, Constitución to the South, and Once and Lacroze to the West.














Mar del Plata, beaches and city



Mar del Plata is an Argentine city located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in the Buenos Aires Province, 400 km south of Buenos Aires.
Mar del Plata is one of the major fishing ports and the biggest seaside beach resort in Argentina.
In addition to its beaches, Mar del Plata has a nightlife, and a very importante cultural and gastronomic life, with nightclubs, museums, restaurants and theaters.
Its coasts allows great views and its architecture is to appreciate.
